who is Matt Nel? :) get to know me

I needed a topic to blog about and since my blog is technically up it is well sort of not up yet (in terms of design and uploading content). I thought why not discuss who I am because I'm sure you all really want to know who,what,when and how?.

I was born on the 3rd of November 1997 in Durban, South Africa to parents Lisette and Kevin. For most of my life I've had a lot of ups and downs and I'm pretty sure you do not want to here those, so let me skip a few years to 2011. In 2011 me and my friend blake has discovered twitter and as any teenager in our generation would do we crated all sorts of accounts including personal ones which we pretended to be celebrities and we even made reality star accounts for current celebs. I opened my first Blogspot blog in 2012 which was also self titled but was a gossip site..and by that i mean I had learnt about copy and paste so I copied all the news from PerezHilton & E! online. It wasn't very popular and I'm pretty sure not even my friends viewed it.

In late 2012 I started coming out of my shell a bit (literally a bit) and i decided that fashion blogging was for me, so I researched South African fashion bloggers and the ones that really caught my eye where 'Fashion by Brett Robson' and @SandyNeneSA's website. Although they had being working for many years and I had just started i really felt comfortable in my own skin. fast forward a year and in 2013 a lot happened and no i do not mean the Miley Cyrus VMA Incident, I mean I was offered to be apart of a up and coming small blogger/media/pr group associated to Infinite Communications PR. I am currently still in that group.

In december 2013/january 2014 i started my own .com blog with the help of my mom (@Twittabell) and slowly started what i like to call my empire. In 2014 Me and my site started to get a lot of attention, from PR companies looking to send me things like CD's to my twitter followers just reading my posts. I like going to events but since I live in Durban there is not alot of A-list events happening, however i do know on has to start from the bottom to get to the top. I recently went to the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA's) thanks to GRAZIA Magazine & MTV and really enjoyed my time there. Alot of people obviously have taken advantage of me due to my age and my mental ability. I may be 16 (17 in a couple of months eeek)> but i think and hopefully know what I'm doing. I started this blog on may 30th and hope it will be popular, it will have weekly fashion,beauty tips, D.I.Y's and even OOTD's and more!.

So who am I? i guess you can say I am an art piece/writer/teen in the making. I hope I do not mess up and disappoint any of my readers/viewers out there. xoxo. I have youtubed <if that's even a word> before but I guess I'm not set out to be the next Tyler oakley/Calvyn justus just yet.
